Our vision of racial justice just got sweeter!

Now through October 17, Ben and Jerry’s is donating $1 from every waffle cone purchased in Scoop Shops to Advancement Project!

We’re proud to partner with our friends at Ben and Jerry’s, who through their ice cream company have been longtime champions of advancing human rights and dignity, supporting social and economic justice for historically marginalized communities, and protecting and restoring the Earth’s natural systems. 

But our work with Ben and Jerry’s didn’t start here!

In fact, we have been working with them for many years to put our shared values of building political power in communities of color into action. In 2019, we partnered with Ben and Jerry’s to release a new ice cream flavor, called Justice Remix’d.

Ben and Jerry’s has also invested time, resources, and scoop trucks working at the local level to support our grassroots partners like Action St. Louis and Power U for Social Change in Miami.

In St. Louis, after years of working to close the St. Louis Workhouse, Action St. Louis and the broader Close the Workhouse Coalition were successful in defunding the workhouse– a huge victory for community building and criminal justice reform in St. Louis, serving as a model for every town or city.

To ensure the students had the education they deserved, Ben and Jerry’s worked with Power U Center for Social Change to demand that the Miami-Dade County School Board prioritize funding for mental health professionals and other student support services instead of more security and surveillance.

We appreciate Ben and Jerry’s commitment to racial justice, and we hope to partner with them for years to come.
