Advancement Project National Office filed a friend of the court brief on behalf of Edgardo Cortés, Virginia’s first Commissioner of Elections, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The amicus brief opposes a lawsuit aimed at limiting voters’ access to absentee voting ahead of Virginia’s primaries on June 23, 2020.
