Criminal Disenfranchisement Key Litigation to Know

The following is a history of key litigation of criminal disenfranchisement across 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. It identifies the racist history of criminal disenfranchisement laws and the disparate impact of these laws today on Black and Latinx communities. This was one of the materials presented at our Rights Restoration Convening which took place in February 12-14, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia.
