Alex JordanSenior Communications Associate
Alex Jordan is a Senior Communications Associate with Advancement Project National Office. In this role, he provides strategic communications guidance in support of grassroots efforts to dismantle the racist criminal legal system, reimagine community safety, remove barriers to the ballot, and restore voting rights on our Justice Project and Power & Democracy programs.
Most recently, Alex worked as a Senior Media Advocacy Manager at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, where he helped develop and execute communications strategies surrounding federal, state, and local public health policies proven to reduce cancer incidence and death. Alex previously worked in communications in the United States Senate, where he promoted progressive policies to advance the health, dignity, and wellbeing of all people.
A native Georgian, Alex began his career as a campaign organizer, working to build the power of communities in metropolitan Atlanta. Alex has also worked as a contributing editor and press strategist on a number of published books.
Alex holds a B.A. from Kenyon College, where he focused his studies on anti-imperialism in Irish literature.
