Marina Golan-VilellaProgram Associate
Marina Golan-Vilella is a Program Associate working across issue areas at Advancement Project National Office. Marina brings a focus on mass incarceration as a former Friends Committee on National Legislation fellow lobbying for justice system reforms. Prior to joining Advancement Project National Office, Marina coordinated Board of Trustees and speaking engagements for the President of the Urban Institute as her Policy Assistant.
Marina holds a B.A. in public policy from Brown University. Throughout her education, Marina interned in research, legal support, and community advocacy including at the Rhode Island Governor’s Office and the ACLU’s National Prison Project. Her view there on the realities of prison conditions and volunteer experience on the outside with people facing homelessness and poverty in Providence, RI continue to drive Marina to work against criminalization of communities of color.
