Meet Our New Executive Director

Carmen Daugherty Named Executive Director of Advancement Project

Carmen Daugherty steps into the role of Executive Director with a bold vision for building the future, not just in moments of crisis but in the everyday, difficult work of building power. In her opening message below, Daugherty says:

“This moment demands deep commitment: to our communities, to our history, and to a future beyond this moment. I believe that there’s more of us who reject what is currently happening than who accept it. My vision is for Advancement Project to be the place organizers come to build power, test new strategies, and get free – and for us to always be one step ahead of the next fight.

Let’s build the world we’re all dreaming toward, together.”
