What is a Strong Movement Without Art?

June 28, 2019

Art has long been essential to building strong movements. As such, Advancement Project National Office is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with GoArtful to create a capsule collection for our 20th anniversary! GoArtful is a primarily person of color founded company focused on ensuring that all people can access art, no matter your background, financial ability, or exposure.

We knew a partnership with GoArtful would be a perfect fit. We’ve collaborated to curate a collection that speaks to our racial justice mission and deep commitment in communities of color. The Advancement Project: Organize, Protest, Vote collection addresses the racial disparities inherent in our daily lives while also celebrating the joy that can be part of movement building. It features multi-racial artists who have been motivated and inspired by the struggle for racial justice, including this pictured piece entitled “J.O.Y. (Jubilation Oppresses Yearning) “by Cary Michael Robinson (@carymichael_). Please take a look at this collection and share it! We’d love for you to rent or buy one or more of these masterpieces.

How it works: With GoArtful, you pay a monthly subscription and choose a piece of art to be printed on a canvas in one of three sizes. You also have the opportunity to swap out your selected pieces for new ones at no extra charge. By signing up for a subscription to GoArtful and renting or buying a piece from our collection, your support will not only help the artists, but a portion of the proceeds will help Advancement Project National Office continue its integral work.

To get started, check out our collection here and sign up for an account. Then, choose from a few plans depending on the number of prints you want at one time.

If you’re looking for another way to support Advancement Project National Office, we got you! Sign up today as a sponsor or purchase tickets for Freedom Now! Freedom Forever!, our 20th anniversary celebration; attend Monday’s 2045 Project kick off; or make a tax-deductible donation.
